It’s been almost 10 years since my last post on the site. Back then, “mom” was a big part of my job description — now, my kids are 20 and 23. My husband and I still live in our beloved People’s Republic of Madison, and I remain a vegetarian and coffee enthusiast. I did go through a short period of meat-eating, followed by a few years as a vegan. I changed jobs several times and have landed back with a professional association — the kind of work I did all through the 1990s. In some ways, I’ve come full circle.

Other news: we have three dogs (all rescued pomeranians) and are hosting our second exchange student from Brazil. I learned to knit in 2004. I’d love to learn Portuguese. I’m all over the place online, but nothing of substance — just a few Tumblrs, Twitter accounts, Flickr, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc. I abandoned my blog,, years ago, although the site is still live. I’ve pulled together most of my accounts on my homepage, (Yes, I’ve given up on anonymity. I’m probably the only person with my name in the world, and it’s my own fault since I legally changed my first name in 2006. But that’s another story.)
